Our Story

Forests have always held a special place in my heart. Growing up, I spent summers exploring Yellowstone, Glacier, and Grand Teton National Parks, toasting hot dogs and marshmallows over the campfire while admiring America's amazing wildlife.

I learned early about the influential role wildfire plays in our ecosystem, but also the dangers is poses to the places we love. Since childhood, I have watched wildfires grow progressively larger and ravage communities throughout the West.

My career in the environmental field has allowed me to explore forests around the world, from the resilient Pinyon-Juniper forests throughout the Southwest, to the Maple-Beech forests of New England that explode with color every fall.

In 2018, I completed a degree in Conservation Leadership from Colorado State University. During this time, I had the life changing opportunity to live in northern Kenya's arid (and thorny) acacia forests, studying the endangered Grevy's zebra and the role they play in Samburu culture.

Now, I'm living a dream come true nestled at 9820 feet above sea level in the South Park's stunningly beautiful aspen-conifer forests.

There is no where else I would rather be.

My love for forests and this community drove me to start 9820 Forestry. Through 9820 Forestry, I hope to ensure future generations can enjoy this unique place by championing a solution that supports humans and the ecosystem alike.

Thank you for visiting this website and participating in this impactful work that benefits us all.
